Accidently deleting figure

for some reason when I accidently delete a figure and then undelete it, it comes back with what looks like  whitish coating over the top and I do not know how to get ride of it. All surfaces are still the same as before it was deleted

sounds like you are dealing with a geoshell.
I would re-apply a new geoshell

What, if anything, is parented to the figure node?
