3D Universe Staci Questions

Decided to bring Staci out of the closet and use her for a number of projects. Problem is how old the model is and the newer versions of Daz.

Can I convert her to Triax I think it's called and if so, how do I do this? If she is converted do I still have to weight map her? Once done, do I have to do anything with her clothes so there are no problems fitting them?

I remember a menu option that converts to tri-ax. It doesn't change the weight paint already painted just converts the format to tri-ax. I think you have to then learn the principals of why tri-ax was chosen over the older method.

Also, I just remembered something. I think I've read that DAZ Studio went back to regular weight mapping after using tri-ax for a while. If  I'm wrong, someone correct me.

If you do have to modify weight maps then this product should be helpful to you: Shape Rugger Plus

Just checked Shape Rugger and it says it's for the Genesis series models and not sure it will work on others, particularly a model that is not a Daz original. Still interested in it though cause if it can be used for other models it will come in handy later.

I was not planning on rigging the model, it has a rig. I mentioned weight mapping cause it's helpful with textures so they are not distorted when the model is posed. I though it was necessary, if not then great, less work for me. Guess it's only the triax I need to do maybe, so it works better in the new versions of Daz.
