V4 and M4 Blowout sale.

I would like to take advantage of the 90% off sale for V4 and M4 stuff, but it says I have to buy a new release from the blowout sale.
Everything in that sale, that I can see, is for the newer Victorias and only for Daz Studio. I don't use those items as i'm a Poser user.
Therefore the sale is no good for me, I don't want to have to waste my money on buying something that i'll never use. I think if you didn't make that rule you would sell much more of the V4/M4 items, I know I would be spending up big if it wasn't for that stipulation!

There are two environment pieces that should work outside of Studio.
Which I doubt i'd ever use, so a waste of money for me..
The sale should be for V4 and M4 items only, no having to buy something you don't want to qualify for it!!
yep, total waste .. as a Carrara user new releases are no good for me as Daz3d don't keep their software updated..

I agree in principle... But the way things are going, just give it a week or so. The V4/M4 items are going on super clearance so often now, it's a good bet that most of these prices will be duplicated or even cheaper with some other qualifier fairly quickly...
Generation 4 items are on sale all the time. You just have to check the store frequently. Which is the whole point of course.
Yes they are going on sale all the time but with the stipulation of buying a new release as well, every single time!!
Ivé never once seen a V4/M4 sale without having to buy something to qualify.

most sales require the purchase of something anymore ... with how much product prices have risen, and now with tax added, it makes the sales much less of a sale. Like today for instance..50% off of best sellers if you buy a new item ... everything at full price, and they often go on sale at even 60-70% off ... so 50% isn;t much really ... still adds up to a lot. Yeah, 50% sure better than full price, but the incentive not there as there will be better sale sooner or later.
Often the requirement purchase basically offsets the sale price.
I hardly use DS, especially iRay, and most of the Buy Something New And Enjoy A Discount sales don't bring me much. With a very small monthly budget even buying one of the required items would already eat away the budget for the sale items. The sales seem to be mostly thought for big spenders. (Between Rendo and this place I can afford maybe $30 per month.)
That said, I'm predominantly making an old wishlist smaller, hardly adding anything new to it. Ever since switching to Genesis and iRay DAZ3D became a less interesting store for me. No way I'm going to spend that much money on ever newer GeForce cards and base characters. Guess I'm not a big spender and therefore not very interesting for DAZ3D either.
Really good stand alone V4/M4 sales are rare. And even then I can only afford to buy a few per sale.
Yes I was also disappointed with this sale. Genesis 1/ 3DL user, and a sucker for V4/M4 skins. Do I need a pizzeria? No! A house? Maybe, but converting to aweSurface takes hours (and I have all the houses in the store that come with 3DL mats, have built cities and villages using them). Genesis 8 stuff? Definite no! Luckily there is always another sale...
I still manage to add a few things to the wishlist now and again; there are still a few vendors who support 3Delight, and some outfits can still be autofit down to my preferred generations... I add more prop/background things, now, that come either in 3delight or I think are worth retexturing, but it's true my wishlist hasn't grown like it used to - thank goodness! Every once in a while, I stumble across and older v4/m4 that I somehow missed, or have discovered that I now need :-D The sales are rarely great for those when you have to buy a new thing, but every once in a while it happens, and I find it's still worth hanging around for. I love the uniqueness of some of the older products, and being able to use a broad variety of material at lower prices appeals to me, even if some people think the older models are 'showing their age'. I'm showing my age, too, so perhaps there's some fellow-feeling there :-)
No, they have done that. They'll give away a few good bundles, and put a lot of add-on items on deep discount. I would know, that's how I shop!

Exactly my point, and with me living in Australia it's another 30cents added onto each dollar, although that isn't Dazs' fault.

I know about that age thing Misselthwaite, where have the years gone lol.
Thank you Slimer and Sven again, the problem with that is if they are older bundles I already have most of the items in them.
