DIM trying to reinstall ALL of my purchases

something happened to DIM ... it now wants to download a bunch of updates and ALL of my past purchases. Not sure what happened but it also lost my password and account details, the download and install paths are all different. I pointed to the old paths, but it still wants to download everything.
This pretty much destroys any usefullness for DIM as far as tracking my downloads and installs.
Any ideas how to fix?

Are your download and installation manifests actually where DIM thinks they are? Or, is DIM looking for them where they actually are located? (look for .dsx files)
i see.. i think..yeah..my hard drive was full so I moved all the zip files to my external drive ... so now I just pointed the archive to that drive ..but the dsx files are in the old directory. i guess those needs to be moved to the external as well.
I can't move back the zips ... not sure what else I can off load from my drive.
hmmm . moved dsx to external drive..that did not help. At a loss. Should I fix the installed file registry ?
maybe i need to reinstall DS, clear out everything and start over. i kept the 4.10 install package..not sure i have all the plugins though. it doesn;t appear everything that was installed previously is in there any longer. maybe less than half
Make sure you keep the download manifests with the product archives, and the installation manifests in a separate folder. The installation manifests have the full path to the installed content (drive and path) so if you want to use DIM to track down installed files, you will need to modify each one to point to the new folder. I used Notepad++, Find in Files to replace the string. Only takes a few minutes, depending on how many products you have.
6000+ products , but they are still in the original install place. i dodnt moive anything from there.
Oh, right. Moving the archives won't mess with the installed content. Not sure what "Fix Installed FIle Registry" does. I've tried it a couple of times when moving the library, but didn't see any effect. My database was (is) a mess (products in LOCAL USER product, Lost and Found category, a WIP), but not sure what caused it. *Looks around accusingly*
Do you have a download manifest for every product archive? There should only be .zip and .dsx in that folder, equal numbers of each.
@Daveso. Check your PMs.
