Hiding products in DIM

I have been literally downloading hundreds of files from dim the last few days because downloading and extracting zips is too much for me anymore with the massive amount I have.  There's so many, I don't know what I have installed or not, and I'm not installing any Gen4 stuff atm. Just getting stuff G2-G8, but mostly G3 and G8. I'm clicking the little circled i to open up the doc page to see what it is since I don't remember, then manually going through my content one figure at at time seeing if I already have it installed, or need to download it.  Then after I shut down dim and come back later, the ones I've downloaded from the queue are still visible in the 'Product Name' list. How can I get rid of those so I don't have to go back and remind myself what i've downloaded already?  I've downloaded 800 files over the last couple days, so need to find a quicker way to work.
Also, is there any way to automatically check to see what I've already installed, either manually or through dim?

TIA

If you right-click on an item there is an option to hide it (you can also check items and hide all selected).

I'm not at my home PC, but I think from the Available tab on DIM, there's a button on the right edge of the row that the product is on that will let you hide it so that you don't have to keep skipping it every time. That should be remembered each time you startup DIM. (Follow Richard's advice!)

Once DIM downloads an installs a product, it should remember that it has done that. The way it works is that a small file called the Manifest is saved on your hard drive. There should be a setting in DIM that will tell you where to find that Manifest folder. If there aren't any files in there, then for some reason DIM isn't able to save to that folder. I had a problem once where DIM lost the folder and wanted to redownload all 5300+ products for me! surprisecrying

you can filter according to purchase date, install date and others, which can be useful.

    The search option also filters.

It is the best way of finding items imo; much prefer it to Studio, if I'm having trouble remembering which library I installed to... No I don't do Not-so-smart Content.

I found the manifest. It has 800 dsx files. It appears a lot of the 800 files are ones I didn't install the last couple days. Many are from years ago, but I guess they show because I own them.

I'll also try to hide files, but need to make sure I'm not hiding something I'd want to use for some quirky reason not remember I've hidden it. That's often my M.O. even at home. Hide something and can't find it anymore.

I have tried to set the list to filter by diifferent options:  most recent, by date, highest number, lowest order date, but it's overwheming there's so many files. I did filter specifics like Genesis8Female(s) and got tons of results, but don't know which ones I've installed myself from zips and don't need to download from dim and waste time.

The way it works doesn't seem as efficient as it could be. I'd think it would be better if once you've checked your filelist queue, and they've been installed, those files should automatically disappear from that list to the 'installed'.list instead. Then you won't even see them any more in your 'ready to download' list if that makes sense.

Will try a variety of these and let you know my results. Wish me luck!!

You could also move them to another folder; or point DIM at another folder. Manaually transfer some accross and refresh.

I've been filtering out by figure, then product ID lowest first, but I find myself having to look at most of them anyway. I've installed 1020 so far. Whew.

On this same theme, I keep trying to download the Action Guy Hair, and all I'm getting is 'download failed' and it's still sitting in the 'install' tab. But when I look in my content folder, it's installed. Just wondering why it won't install. I have the Scott 6 Pro Bundle, but I never installed any of the files here or manual.
