I am guessing the boat is between 35 to 45 feet in length. It is approximately 13.5 grid tiles in the studio. Sailboats are designated by feet and crew berths. So, in other words if the boat is 35 feet long and has beds for 6 it would be designated a 356 and if it is 45 feet and 6 beds its designation would be 456. I am guessing the boat is somewhere between 35 and 45 feet. Possibly 41 or 42. Obviously if a floor grid is 3 feet then simply it would be a 416.
Just curious because this is one of my favorites models.

I just added that to my wishlist yesterday so can't give any accurate measurement at the moment. However, using the young lass on the bow as a measuring device and saying she's 5' 7", I get ~ 7 lengths so that math works out pretty close to your 41-42' figure.
I have this boat. Depending on how you measure where the boat's length starts and ends, it has a length between 13.5 and 14.5 metres (a grid tile btw is 1m x 1m). In imperial measurements that represents a length of 44-47 feet.
The units used in DS are centimetres, and the grid is 100cm square (1m). From the scale of the figure's in the sale page, should be 45ft plus waterline length even if the squares didn't suggest that anyway.
I had planned (many years ago in a dream now abandoned due to a mortgage) to build a Bruce Roberts Spray 370. This was to be as below
I modelled it in my own modelling package to generate stress models. It had a waterline length of 37 feet, but was designed to sleep 4 in comfort, or 6 less comfortably, not zero as full adherence to the nomenclature would have required - so it is flexible. The length between perpendiculars was to be 42 ft, and eventually it was to have a Junk Rig for extreme damage tolerance.

Richard.
Buy it ! On sale of course ! :)
Thanks for the information. Especially the mesurement of the grid tiles. Useful information for now and in the future.
Thanks, hope you get back to this one some day.
I like this sailboat model better than all the other ones I have seen. There is one on Renderosity that has cool dinghy garage and is a 55' I believe with a shower. But this one is the better quality. The PW sailboat here on Daz is fine, but not to my taste.
I hope someone someday here at Daz does a 50' - 66' with a dinghy garage and cabin options like the real builders do in the real world. maybe a canopy for the cockpit etc.
Did you try to render it without the sails? You're likely to run into some problems;)
