Hair breaks dForce

I'm having an odd issue with dForce. I have tried simulating a dForce enabled piece of outfit (specifically, Wise Wizard HD's Outer Tunic) and, as soon as hair (or beard) comes into contact with the cloth, it sort of pushes it into the skin, exposing it wherever it's touching.

I'm not having this problem with other outfits, so maybe that's specific to that one, but does anyone know of any tricks in order to make it work as it should?

Hide the hair and beard before running dForce.

  • But the hair is dForce. It's the Classic Long Curly Hair with dForce for Genesis 8 Female(s). I need it to drape just like the clothing, but on top of it, without pushing it into the model :)

I think you can set "layers" for the simulation, in which case make sure hair is on a "higher" layer than clothes.

Otherwise you can do it in 2 steps:

    1. Hide the hair, run the simulation for the clothes, then freeze simulation
    2. Make the hair visible again, then run the simulation for the hair.

Simulate the clothing with the hair hidden, then freeze the simulation on the clothing (Parameters pane), show the hair, and simulate the hair.
