Where'd my dForce modifier go? (RESOLVED)

I went to see if a conforming item could be dforce-draped, but the video tutorial I'm watching shows I should be applying the dforce modifier, but mine isn't where it is on the video. Any ideas?

Are you actually in the Simulation panel? You won't get the right options on the menu if you're in the wrong panel.

    I am.

I had this happen before, and was given the solution, but forgot what thread I asked in and stupidly did not note the fix on my cheat-sheet.

    I found it ...

    Windows>worspace>update and merge menus

Now ... what do I do with it? How do I drape non-dforce hair or conforming clothing now that my tools all seem to be here, again?

Apply a Dfroce modifyer to the item and then simulate it. You may need to alter the surface settings etc to get it to act properly but thats the start.

Which modifier should be used when?

Most of the time, you'll use Add dForce Modifier: Dynamic Surface.

To be honest, the best resource for dForce on the forums, imo, is @RGcincy's thread: How to Use dForce: Creating a Blanket, Draping Clothes on Furniture, and Much More

I've linked to page one, where Rich provides a Table of Contents to the various tutorials in the thread. While he doesn't cover converting non-dForce clothing to dForce, many of the techniques he covers can help you with that anyway.

Not nearly so prolific or well kept up, is my own thread on dForce: dForce, dWeight and dWardrobe. But it is specifically for older clothing being used with dForce, and there is some good information there, (even if I do say so myself!)
