[Solved] Daz Decimator - Unregistered

It's been a few months since I used Decimator, but I just noticed that in Daz 4.11, it is telling me:

"This plugin must be registered to be enabled."

When I look at the product page, it tells me that I have indeed purchased it.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or can point me to a thread where this has already been discussed?

You probably need to reenter your serial number for 'DAZ Decimator' in Help > About installed Plugins. Since you purchased the plugin the serial number should be in the store 'My account' > Serial numbers

Oh shoot.  Daz Decimator was listed in two places in the installed plugins tree.  Once on its own and once under the Daz Pro Bundle (the one I saw).  And under the bundle, it did not have a field for serial number.

You have to in the DAZ Studio menu go to 'About Installed plugins...' and enter the serial number, save, & restart DAZ Studio for it to work. Your serial number is at this link if you are logged online in a browser to the DAZ Store:

Hi, I know this is old but I have exactly the same problem with 2 plugins in same place as you had and it won't let the registration work as per your problem. How did you solve this I can't get rid of the pro one and it stops registartion and the plugin working? Thanks!

  • The non-free Pro serial number (starting SDZSPRO-040) will activate Decimator, the free version (starting SDZFPRO-040) will not - that is the difference between them, and that is why the plug-in has two entries. If you have a stand-alone decimator license (following the template shown in the prompt box for the serial number) and it doesn't work then you will need to contact support https://www.daz3d.com/help

Yes Richard I have the stand-alone decimator license and I enter the paid for license from 11 years ago into that plug-in registration. I do not have the pro license and yes I have contacted support but no answer for a week, probably Christmans? In fact I have 3 registrations for Decimator, Game Bundle, Pro Bundle and Stand-alone, I have a license for one of these the Stand-alone and the other 2 will not allow entry of the registration. If you know the way to fix this, then posting it here would be a great way to stop the support requests that will come from anyone in this situation. Cheers.

  • The Pro and Game bundle serials go into the spaces for their respective bundles, not into the Decimator space.
