quick newbie question

Is there a way to stop Daz selecting everything by default whenever a scene or whatever is loaded into a scene? what I mean by this is just have it so not everything is highlighted (like in pic example) I find it extremely hard to see properly when something is entirely like this. How can you un-select this option please if you can.

From the menu select Window > Panes (Tabs) > Draw Settings, under Node Highlighting select Bounding Box Only:

I reckon it's because you have your cursor hovering over the scene. If you move it off-screen then things should return to normal. It does for me at least.

FYI....I've had that in my References thread (first post of my Art Studio thread) for awhile now. If you can't find something, or just want to see what tips other artists have given, there's a wide range (alphabetically there.) This particular problem has been broached a couple times when a new version of studio comes out- it seems to undo that selection and you're back to that annoying highlighting.  :)  I put things in the References because I simply can't remember how to do it. (Nickname should be "duh." )  Anything to do with resetting something, I always have to look up. (Particularly the content management stuff when items don't show up/studio goes blank. Hate that one.)
