Headlamp mode makes scene dark

Hi. I used to be able to "preview light" whenever that happened and I would be able to see the scene even with headlamp on, but now I can't seem to do that anymore. Whenever I turn headlamp on it makes the camera applied to very dark and I can't see anything. Help please.

    Did you try to use [ctrl] L that should help you see things in the scene

    I did. That's what I tried. "Preview Lights" it just doesn't work.

    The scene is lighted fine, but the moment I turn headlamp on and I set the parameters on something like 0.20 (for example) it just dims the whole scene very dark and if I turn off the headlamp or increase the parameters from 0.20 to 1.00 the scene remains just as dark and I don't know what to do anymore.
