Ok, was able to solve the eye issue with Sickleyields help. You can find the exchange here: https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/409437916/4758868547
She looks really beautiful, though.

Thank you, @TigerAnne!
Same set-up with different materials, lights, and camera angle. The gold flakes are a geoshell with a metal shader, opacity map, and bump map applied.
That's some kind of Magnificent right there!
I agree, this is gorgeous. I love that armor.
Thank you, Zombie & Rakuda!

Another attempt to bring something old (and free) to G8, this time the skin of the lovely Grace for V4 via these two products. I'm very happy with the result! I was specifically interested in Garce's skin but now I'm curious to see what all the other bi-weekly freebie V4 skins look like on G8.
Eyes and lashes are normal G8 materials. The morph is dial-spun, built around a freebie headmorph by RenderGuyNY.

Wow, lovely render! And the butterflies are the perfect embellishment too.

Salem wearing the skin of the frequently free Tamesis. Lovely, if not quite the relevation that Grace was. Comes with a ton of make up options.

You've made Grace absolutely stunning! Salem is also very pretty. I like her dress style!
Very nice! thank God someone used my stuff for something! hehe
@TigerAnne: Thanks!
@DigiDotz: Of course! I'm obsessed with freebies and your stuff is some of the best. The pleated dForce skirt is my favourite.
Salem's lovely too and DigiDotz has great freebies.
Thank you, @nonesuch00!
Something strange is happening with this latest gallery upload. Shortly after uploading I noticed that the corset had a blurry texture, like a badly compressed jpg. I checked my original, the corset looks nice and crisp on it. So I re-uploaded the image and deleted the first upload. The re-uploaded image looked good, as it should. Now, about half an hour later, the image has changed again and the corset is back to looking a little blurry and crappy. How bizarre. I'm trying not to obsess over it but it's a bit of a bummer.
UPDATE 13.08.19: It's back to the high quality version it should be. Very strange.

Salem again, with the skin of Raysee Doll and some fancy pumps that I just couldn't resist when I saw them in Fast Grab yesterday.

So, I realised only recently that geoshells can have a negative offset. Here combined with a displacement map freebie.

I wanted to try out the OOT Rasta Tails Hair which I snatched yesterday at a good discount. It reminded me a bit of how Logan Browning's character wears her hair in Dear White People, so I made my character a light skinned black woman with hazel eyes. I quite like how she came out! Sparks and smoke are done in post, but the fireballs are props in the scene.

ETA: It seems that again, the image in the gallery is of a lower quality than the image I uploaded
Last time that happened it reverted back to the proper version after a while, so fingers crossed.

What I learned this time: If you use DOF and a simple background (meaning no HDRI) you have to place the image before rendering via Windows -> Panes (Tabs) -> Environment. If you leave the background transparent and place the image after rendering in Photoshop it will not handle the blurred edges correctly.

That's amazing. I love everything about it, the character, the outfit, the fx..!
It looks great! She's so cute, yet so deadly.
Thanks!
She has quite sparkling personality :D
GROAN
... but thanks!
My entry to the current freebie contest. Freebie credits here, gallery link here.
(Effin' indoor scenes... renders forever and is still more grainy than I'd like...
)
Super neat scene
Thank you!
Just found the Weld in the gallery, that's a really neat peice of storytelling!
That's an amazing render, dude! It doesn't look grainy to me.
