At least 2000 reasons to love the retro sci-fi corridor

Saw those chairs and I don't think I've ever clicked on anything so fast before.

I might even go as high as 2001.

That Mely is one Hal of an artist.

Have to be running along Dave, I think my mind is going.

The gentle curve makes for quite a large station/ship ring too.

Wiz is making references to 2001: A Space Odyssey. :) Of which, the set appears to draw influence from.

It looks like a very cool set! Mely3D did a great job. :)

I wondered if the phone screens could light up, and if they could take images. Very cool.

All we need now is a Dr. Heywood Floyd character, a Dr. Smyslov character, and an Elena character and we could recreate the 10 minutes of sparse, idle, probing yet secretive talk in an empty space hotel.indecision

Yes I was really referncing the fact that the ring of the spacestation was large as compared to https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-spaceship-centrifuge which has a much smaller diameter and which is VERY SIMILAR to the 2020 Space Odyssey.

Yep, it looks a lot like the 2001 space station centrifugal corridor. At the sale price I grabbed it right away.

Not just 'a lot like'; I compared screenshots of the film to those of the model, and all the elements are spot-on, with only minor rearrangements. Which is a very good thing! All it really needs is some additional signage, and the "Hilton" office yes

    It really should've been base-priced at $20.01

You know, one of the first things I ever 3D modelled was a 1x4x9 monolith. cheeky

I first thought that it was an error - an older item mistakenly marked as new. But apparently it's two different products:

Oh, come now, my hamster was more advanced technically in his wheel when I was a boy. It is a nice model though.

    Speaking of monoliths...

Just something I threw together for fun a while back.  Unfortunately, S3 of the Orville is at least a year off, and apparently won't be on Fox anymore, so i'll have to wait for the DVD as I'm not a hulu/netflix kinda guy.  It'll be a long wait for me.
