Lighting settings not working

I'm completely new to this, never rendered anything before and only just installed DAZ 4.11. I'm going through the tutorials and it's all going well until the lighting...

Tutorial says to change the exposure value - but it doesn't appear to make any difference to the image. I turned off the tutorial and played around with the Tone Mapping settings - ramped exposure up to 1000. Still nothing changes. Back down to 1. Still no change. I go through the other settings just changing them to see if there's any kind of difference but nothing changes.

I added a distant light and the lighting changed. Turning this light off in the scene tab does make it go dark - but with the distant light on (and all the settings back to default) I played with exposure again and it makes no difference at all. Please can some one help me where I am doing this wrong.

    Which tutorial is this?

  • Hi.

The ones at the bottom right of the Daz Studio interface. Getting started > VII > Lighting

  • When I render it comes out with exposure correct. I.e. over exposed and under exposed as the exposure levels are changed.

So why does it not change the light as I change the setting?
