Early on in the beta thread about the Strand-Based Hair and dForce Hair, I'm pretty sure Richard, (or one of the DAZ_ folk,) mentioned that both Garibaldi and LAMH work just fine in 4.11. I'll see if I can the post.
I got the Look At My Hair, LAMH 2 Iray Catalyzer plug-ins to work by using the manual installers. For some reason, they don't show up in my download manager anymore.
I couldn't find the post, either. Shoulda bookmarked it. Maybe Richard will come in and confirm, or set me straight if I have it wrong.
@Joepingleton, Catalyzer is showing up in my DIM. both the plugin and the User Guide are installed.
ETA: So does LAMH for Daz Studio.
Catalyzer fur does. Haven't tried LAMH itself yet
LAMH Player, LAMH2 Iray Catalyzer, and Garibaldi Express all work properly in 4.11. Didn't have to re-install anything, they were all installed with DIM the first time around.
What I want to know is whether the old LAMH presets that come with things like the ApeWorld stuff from RawArt, and the freebie presets for the old Mil figures will work in 4.11. I seem to recall that you couldn't have Garibaldi and LAMH both installed at the same time. (I may be misremembering.)
There's no reason LaMH shouldn't work, that I am aware of.
Cat World - Regenesis, Bear Clan - Regenesis, Ape World 2, Raccoon, Skunk, Beaver, Mouse for Genesis, Kangaroos and Joeys... All work properly. I would imagine they all should, since the plugin works. They all seem to take longer to load, but it could be because I'm waiting for it to load each time.
Yeah bought lamh furs and stuff, as well as the full plugin are still working for me.
Not only does it work in 4.11, it's considerably faster.
I don't recall LAMH being a problem with Garibaldi, but I know you could not have the full version LAMH and the free LAMH player at the same time.
I love LAMH but have been having a hard time finding time to get it working in 4.11. I will make time soon though as I really loved the quality and miss being amazed by the renders I'd get from it.
Has anyone created an iRay preset for the Genesis 8 Werwulf? I did not notice when I picked it up that the LAMH setting was for 3DL only. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For me I can"t load any genesis 8 figure to make hair in LAMH it crash Daz Studio....so the question would not be ...does it works with Daz 4.11 but..is it compattilible with new figures (G8)?
Yes, it is compatible with G8. The new G8M Gorilla is a good proof, it includes a LAMH version too.
When 4.11 BETA went Public my LAMH/Catalyzer issues got resolved. I am once again able to render using Catalyzer and loving the results!
