Is it possible to make PhilW's new dForce Femme Fatale Hair look layered?

A queestion to those who bought this hair already:

Is it made of layers that could have their length changed to create different styles? The promos only show it worn as a blunt cut basically, but the description lists various pre-drape morph presets that make me wonder if it's built in layers internally.

That is a really good question, I would like to be answered, as well.
Rob suggests, though he hasn't tried it with this hair, applying a gradient map to the Reduce length Amount property for the hair surface(s) - where it is black the length will not be reduced, where it is white it will be reduced by the value of the property, greys will give intermediate values (going by the location of the root of the hair on the UV map), though theer will be some randomisation in effect so the result will be softened.
That makes sense, thanks!
Depends on what you mean by "layered" in this context. There are locks/strand clusters either side of the face that are slightly shorter than the rest of the hair (this is sort of visible in some of the promos), and the overall effect of the hair seems less uniform in length than the long drape hair. But if you're thinking along the lines of this, I don't see any presets that would produce that effect. The existing presets are about trying to get it to drape behind or in front of the shoulders, or to keep it out of the wearer's face..
I am not talking about existing presets (I can well see there are none for what I want) but rather about what these presets imply regarding the structure of the model. Whether it is built of zones (for example, top, crown, nape, temples) so that each zone can be controlled individually in terms of draping settings.
If there are zones you can drape individually to make them go behind the shoulders or in front etc, then you can control the length of each zone.
If all the hair comes as a single zone and those presets are just morphs, then the only way to change the cut is the reduce map, as in Rob's suggestion Richard kindly posted for us.
