Wind Warrior: Well done on the promo images!

JonnyRayJonnyRay Posts: 1,744

I was on the fence about this set. I don't have a LOT of need for fantasy armor. But the more I looked through the promo images, the more I was sold on how well done the set was. I ended up buying the bundle. So, I fell victim to good advertising, but I don't regret it either, it really is a well done set of products.

    Same.

I rarely get female figures, I very rarely get skimp armor (armor panties??)

    But it’s SO WELL DONE.

I agree.  The work put into the promos made this almost an instant buy for me.

Linday is certainly one of the most tallented Daz promo artists. The images are dramatic, compelling and inspiring with spectacular lighting and composition.

to be fair i also do feel which this other one

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-warrior-amazonia-outfit-for-genesis-8-females

was well done, specially because "no high heels" cheekycheeky, i really hate high heels on armors, with only few exceptions another one which is very skymp but really beautfull to buy is this one:

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-warrior-of-dusk-outfit-for-genesis-8-females the only issue is the high heels, but overal i feel it is a really well done skymp armor, even the "transparante parts if you change the material from the transparente cloth for a more chain metal style it can really become a very well done armor.

just look at the blank material version:

based on the texture you want to use it can really look awesome.

The dress by itself on that Warrior of Dusk looks good enough to justify getting it. And yes, texturing is vital. I wish DAZ could bring in a couple of experts in Substance Painter to work in cooperation with modelers rather than expecting one person to do everything.

Definitely a swoon over this awesome Sylvanas--I mean Sylvian Wind Warrior bundle! Wonder if more WoW-inspired characters are in the pipeline.

We are talking about making a "Jane Proudless".

I'm so happy people like WW. There was a lot of work put in this product (6 months) mostly from Linday.

Dang, I already did Jaina myself, was planning on doing Sylv later. Guess I could've left the hard work to you two. :-D

The work shows. It is a very well done product! Everyone involved should be proud of the results.

I can live with "armor panties", because it is such a mainstay of fantasy armor in games and movies, but this is also is exactly why I picked up Traveler's Uber+ Iray Medieval Armor Shaders. When I want something more realistic, I can slip a geoshell on her, apply some shaders, and at least she's wearing another layer of protection and not getting chaffed by the armor. wink

one question for the peoples which have bought the "wind" armor, how much polygons it have?? the base number for total and if possible for each piece, it is too high like each piece being like 20+ polygons??

Oh please do! I would love to see the outfit and hair as well - I've tried to piece one together, but it isn't very accurate and required multiple renders with different bits, two different hairstyles, etc. :D

Your Jaina looks great, Ravvenkitsune! I hope you do a version, Mousso. And her current look could easily build into a pirate style bundle-

Thank you! And yes - a very good, detailed, realistic pirate or sea captain outfit for G8 female would be an immediate purchase. There are some cute steampunky ones, and some less detailed older pirate ones, but nothing with tons of detail and options. *crosses fingers*

    Thanks Mousso and Missus, appreciated!

Looking forward to whatever you will be making, your work is awesome. Agree her aged version makes for an excellent pirate costume like the others said.
