Looking for bottle with pouring morph

nabob21nabob21 Posts: 1,057

Hello,

I am looking for a whiskey or wine bottle with a poring morph. I have several bottles with level and tilt morphs but these morphs don't show the liquid going into the neck of the bottle like you would if you were pouring something into a glass. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Maclean made a real cool set like that  https://www.daz3d.com/everyday-drinks ;

    Thanks for the reply RawArt. I do have that product and they do have level and tilt morphs but nothing that actually goes up into the neck of the bottle.

    Combining the bottles you have with something like this might be the best option: https://www.daz3d.com/rigged-water-iray-2 some of Maclean's other products, like coffee and tea, have pour options, but I can't recall a bottle one off the top of my head.

    Thanks AlmightyQUEST and Leana. I will keep these in mind. They would work for liquid coming out of the bottle but I still have to find something that would push the liquid into the neck and ideally have a tilt and level morph for the bottom to show that the bottle is emptying.

    You can actually do a tilt of liquid in a bottle quite easily by rendering the bottle full and empty, and then merging the two in a photo app like Photoshop or Gimp. You just use a square delete brush to remove the liquid from the bottle full picture.

    I doubt such a product exists, at least as a morph. It doesn't really suit the way that morphs work.

    A subtle tip morph is just a case of moving a few vertices linearly up and down the side of the bottle. A morph where it goes into the neck of the bottle however results in the liquid having an entirely different shape, and would thus require a completely different geometry to fit that new shape. (Bear in mind, morphs can only move existing vertices, they cannot add more).

    If I were trying to model something like that, I'd choose to do liquid tilted into the neck as a separate prop in order to avoid the headache of trying to do it with morphs.

    Unfortunately, until we master CG technology that lets us get away from the tyranny of polygons, there are a lot of things that aren't very practical to achieve.

    You might want to look at Fluidos https://www.daz3d.com/fluidos-for-daz-studio

    There's also a dforce water set by Sickleyield.

    I think you could make the puddle and stream props simulate pouring liquid out of a bottle. I may have to experiment and see if it will work.
