How do we contact vendors?

  • I had a question for the vendor Hinkypunk, who has 90+ items for sale in the store.
  • But when I tried to send a message through the Inbox/Mail system in the Forums.
  • But when I enter the name Hinkypunk and try to send it, I'm told that it's not a valid recpient.
  • Am I doing something wrong, if so, what? And if not, then how do I get hold of that person?

Yes. You should instead send your communication to an actually valid recipient.

How would I know that? In this vendor list and on the products themselves it is shown as one word? Other vendors have spaces in their names (as highlighted below)?

or ask Daz support, who can pass the question on to the PA if they don't already know the answer.

To contact a vendor, please submit a customer service ticket. Not all vendors have forum identities and many of those that do do not check the forums with any frequency. And, as you have noticed, not all vendors have forum names that are an exact match to their vendor names. Part of what we pay to Daz is to handle customer inquiries. They will forward your question.

    Thanks.

  • BTW: Daz needs to make it easier to reach out to the vendors/metchants. There should be a link or button on the product page. Even if it doesn't go directly to the vendor (it could go to Daz support who could then filter the communications).

    Just a thought.

You mean like a 'Product support inquiry' button on each item page? I guess that could save time finding and filling in the support contact form, but then they might want to funnel people to the general support Q's first as this can sometimes answer the Q and save time.

A “Contact Us” link is on each page that takes you directly into the help desk system for your question

That's hardly intuitive, as I don't want to contact the Daz site in general but an individual person. And I don't need "help" with a product. There is no malfunction or issue. It's not even a product I've purchased. I had pre-sale question.

Adding a button would do nothing at all to prevent the Daz sales team from moderating the inquiries and acting as gatekeepers.

How did you contact this guy? I want to send him a message and say that this pack only downloads 3 skin textures not 13 https://www.daz3d.com/alidreaux-for-genesis-8-female

    I need a fix

You don't. You contact DAZ product support for that.

No, you don't need a fix as nothing is broken. It comes with 13 MAT files to change the color of the skin which doesn't need complete texture sets for this to happen. It's all done in the settings, not by changing textures.
