Add custom text or textures to clothing

HI, another newbie here.
I want to add text or textures to clothes using Gimp to edit the files.

But where can I find the clothing to customize. Are there any templates or anything available?

Or can I use the basic clothing sets from Daz?

There should usually be templates in your Product Library page for the item  https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files

Thanks, but im not sure if I can just use these templates, edit it and use it in my own creations.

Im looking for stuff like this: https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/daz-clothing-genesis-8-model-1217671 free or paid.

It says I can sell, edit, redistribute, claim it as my own.

That product is just a base mesh. It says it isn't even UVmapped, you would have to map it and then rig it to properly use it

What is your end goal? to have a shirt for your character or to create a product to sell or give away?

That is the standard usage that Daz allows for all clothing. If you just want to customize an existing texture go to your content library under Windows Explorer (or theMac equivalent), find runtime/textures and search in it for the name of the clothing item or of the PA involved. This should bring up the textures, and you can just select one and edit it in GIMP. You can't redistribute the texture by putting it online for others to download, but you can certainly use the modified texture in your own rendered pictures of the clothes.
