Iray Tattooz by KindredArts

Hi there!

So, I purchased Iray Tattooz by KindredArts from the store. It says it utilizes Iray Decal nodes that project the tattoo on to the desired surface. Firstly, I don't know what that means. I am a novice when it comes to most things DAZ and I haven't really been able to find anything that really explains how to use them or what to do with them. Anyone care to lend a hand and offer some step by step guidance?

    @Baylien, I don't have this particular decal product from KA, but I do have others and they all came with a PDF on how to use them.

    Here's how to find the documentation:

    1. Open the Smart Content Pane/Tab
    2. Click on the Products tab at the top of the pane
    3. In the right column, type Tattooz in the filter field. This will isolate all products with that name, presumably just the one.
    4. Double-click on the icon for Iray Tattooz to access the files
    5. In the right column, type Decal Tip, (on the product page, it shows "KATT Decal Tip (.DSA)" which will be a script to access the guide. It may be a popup, or it may be a full pdf. I just don't know.)
    6. There should now be an icon for the script isolated in the pane.

    When you click on one having your figure selected, it will be put on its belly.

    You can move it around as you desire, but you will only see in Iray preview mode.

    The problem is that when you'll pose the figure, the tattoo will move. You can fix that using Rigid Follow Nodes. I've made a 3min tutorial on them:

    What you can't fix is that if you put them on the hand, for example, and it's bigger than it, it will be projected on the hip too.

    Decal is then a solution that allows you to customize the tattoos position and dimension, but have some problems too.

    I don't unterstand how use Iray Tattooz by KindredArts. There is not pdf for explain use.

    I don't know how put a tattoo for example "the wing" only on the back. The wings appear but all over the body. It's more easy with a pdf (it's a minimum).
