Object alignment and pivot point

noprornopror Posts: 20

Hello again.
How to adjust the pivot point in DAZ, with which an object (for example, a sword) is attached to a figure?
I made my sword in 3D Max and imported it into DAZ, but unfortunately the pivot point is not preserved.
I need to edit the anchor point and fully align my object with the old one (position, turns). How can I do it?

Go to Tools and select the Joint Editor.  Then open the Tool Tab and you can adjust the center and end points.

After you get what you want, make sure you go to the menu in the upper right of the tool tab and choose "Memorize Selected Node Rigging"

Then you can save the prop as a prop - File > Save As... > Support Asset > Figure/Prop Asset..."

I worked at 3DMax for 20 years, and Daz seemed very simple to me. But everything went much harder.
It seems to be called the effect of Danzig-Kruger.
    Forgive my mediocre English.

Thanks to the participants of this forum. Here I always find the answers.

Mattymanx, You have a couple of pictures with links. How can I do it?

    Go to your signiture settings.

THe dialog box for editing your sig is the same as a comment box in the forums.

Click on the source button and use this html code

    <p><a href="website address here"><img alt="" src="web address to your image" style="height:100px; width:500px" /></a></p>

Replace my little instructions of course.  YOu can host your image here in the forums and then use the image address from the forum in your sig so that you dont have to worry about the image host being down.

    You're welcome Nopror.

Btw, your Artstation link is linking to Deviantart instead of Artstation.
