When on the opening page I see the products for free if sale items are bought there's 'Colour Therapy: XANADU' listed which is in my wish list. But when I go to the 3 pages of conditionally free items it's not there. I tried adding 3 sale items to my cart and then added the 'Colour Therapy: XANADU' but it shows at its sale price, not as free. If I add an alternative conditionally free item it does show as free.
Re the conditional freebies, it's a meagre selection with only 3 products for Genesis.

I see the same disrepancy between the sale page and the category.
There were not many items for the Genesis line in RDNA store to begin with, so it's not surprising there aren't many in the selection.
pretty much a no incentive sale for me. you can get 1 free without purchase, although most of the products are for Poser.
You can have the one item for free. Then still have the three items when buying Memorial Day sale stuff too (I got muddled and found this out by accident)
But yes, a very stange offer this when so little is for Daz Studio (which I assume is the main software used by shoppers here).
I got two sets of Iray compatible lights (I hope they actually are), and two lots of expressions for G3.
Just glad I didn't checkout yesterday, as it would have been annoying to buy a bunch of stuff then and miss out on getting 3 free things today.
Free is free. I am happy with the Memorial Sale items I got, so anything extra is always nice :-)
Daz sometimes shoot themselves in the foot with these sales, particularly when they advertise a product that ends up not being on sale or in this case free. I was going to buy 3 of today's sale items to get 2 others free, the cost being $12.90, but had their advertised as free 'Colour Therapy: XANADU' actually appeared in the free pages I would have also paid another $7.70 for the hair it's an add on for. But as I've bought from Daz for the last 2 days and the other items I was gong to buy today I have no immediate use for I've decided against it and have just had 1 freebie. So they could have sold me $20.60 worth of products today had the advertised as free 'Colour Therapy: XANADU' actually been free, but instead I've not bought anything.
I think they also defeat their own purposes with their daily freebies as most are add ons for other products, so you have to but the original product to get the freebie. As a result I've only ever taken free ad ons when I already own the primary item. If they offered the primary items free then they'd be more likely to make a sale of the add ons than vice versa. I've occasionally bought primary items thinking I don't need the add ons, but then when finally using the product I find I do need the extras. So if Daz want to make sales through offering a part-product free then I'm sure they'd make more by offering the primary product free so that purchasers then by the add ons.
Eh, a lot of the old "Poser only" props can be used in DS with a little work on the surfaces, so other than the poser lights and the terradome stuff (which, admittedly, makes up the bulk of this sale) there's stuff I can use. Some of it I've even considered getting in the past. :)
As for the Freebies section - I thought that updated like once a month or something, not daily. It's usually mostly empty for me anyway.
True, but most of what is on offer is not props (at least amongst the stuff I do not own). A lot of truly Poser only stuff is being offered, like Poser lights sets, and Terradome 1/2 stuff. I struggled to find even 1 thing I could use, let alone 4.
Wait... So the TerraDome stuff wont work in DS? I was actually looking forward to grabbing that.

I am pretty sure it does not, or at least the materials will not. Only Terradome 3 works with DS (although I am not sure it works in DS 2 or 3).
I dont need the materials... just the props and maps to set the environment. Since i can get 1 free, imma go ahead and grab the bundle and see what i can do with it.

TerraDome does not work in Daz at all.
I don't think there are any maps, I am pretty sure it uses procedural shaders for the materials, and these will not work at all in DS, but as you said, if it is free, you have nothing to lose to give it a try.
Yeah, the props load but none of the injection poses or map poses work at all.
Oh well...

I have the microcosm terrain stuff from RDNA ... its way older Poser stuff, but it does work in DS ... at least the morphing to the trrains, etc work. I haven;t tried all of them, but so far so good...I say this with the probability that the Terradome terrains would also work? free is a good time to try
The one I tried checking didn't have a file list, but I believe the pre-Terradome 3 products use .pmd files with poses to inject them for the morphs - if so those won't work in DS.
