Daz crashing, computer crashing: ideas?

I haven't nailed down what is happening here, but I have been using Pose Architect to create poses: that seems to work ok for a shot + render.

If I then zero the Pose Architect pose (by manually returning each dial to zero), then pose again using Pose Architect & then manually adjust details using regular dials, I can then start a render, but when I come back, Daz Studio has crashed and in some cases at least the computer has rebooted.

Any thoughts about where best to start with this? I could reinstall Pose Architect, but I'm not sure if that's the problem.

I have no experience with Pose Architect but if your PC crashes I would suspect it's more a PC problem than a DS one. Maybe you should post a ticket for the product if you think it's faulty.

Perhaps your GPU RAM or on-board RAM is maxing out, or your PSU to your GPU isn't up to scratch for your card but it's impossible to tell without your specs.

Thanks, worth thinking about. But unlikely, as I have a 1080Ti, 32GB RAM, and the PSU has generally been stable. But I will keep an eye on that. I need time to do some testing. When I just rely on poses and on posing myself conventionally, I don't seem to have the same problems.

While it's not unheard a plugin or script could crash DS, I very much doubt their ability to crash a PC. So, I'd say it may very well be a hardware issue, e.g. PSU or gfx card might be failing.

I recently had crash issues but I max out scenes with large environments a dozen characters posed, clothes, not bald and they did render well but the same scene crashed repeatedly after updates. Not sure what changed but because Daz is not a stagnant program and embraces Nvdidea technology I decided to build a new system because I want to advance as technology advances. BUT I always create a restore point before downloading DAZ products via DIM because DIM sometimes updates and makes changes to your system. I never check install after download. I close DIM. After I set another restore point I install downloaded products. This to sometimes causes system changes. Whenever my system crashes I restore to an earlier point and all is well. For my PC#2 I will always create restore points. Couldn't render without them.
