Message-Shirt-Magic shirt only work gen8 females?

I was elated to see this product this morning.

However, all my money for my project is invested in legacy genesis products.  I guess I just want to double check that this product will indeed only work on genesis 8 females.

This initial release is for Genesis 8 Female as that is the most popular figure in use at this time.

If there is sufficient demand (like there was for Pose Architect for older figures), we will consider a version for Genesis 3 Female.

    How about males?

The autofit will probably work pretty well for males, especially since it's dForce.

I would like to know if the tops work without the script for the message magic.I would love to purchase a couple of them, but have no interest in spending $20 on a script to add writing/logos to a shirt when I have photoshop.

Can you add graphics to the shirts or just text?

I'm not seeing graphics in the promos - but do recognize some DingBat Fonts (picture fonts) so if it at least allows those, it is something.

    Following.

I noticed that in all of the promos the text/image only appear on the front of the shirts. It seems like options to place the text/image on the back or shoulders would be useful (sports jerseys etc). Is that possible with the existing product?

The tops will work without the Message-Magic materials script. M-S-M has several benefits over creating shirt textures in Photoshop:

    • Editing can be done directly in DAZ Studio with a live preview.
    • The text is also correctly sized and lined up to match the shirt's UV map automatically.
    • Settings that you like can be saved as presets and be loaded later.
    • If you want to make a slight adjustment to your design, simply run the script again to automatically load the presets last applied to the selected M-S-M shirt.
    • Load your designs onto other M-S-M shirts without having to realign/size content in Photoshop.

This version does text, not graphics. This is partly so that presets created by you can work on anyone's setup without having to share graphics.

Text can only be placed on the front logo area of the shirts at this stage. Depending on the popularity of the product, we will add additional logo areas in a subsequent version.

OK - our latest version of Message-Shirt-Magic has been tested extensively by the DAZ staff, and is now live in the store. When run, the version is 1.2.2 shown in the interface so that you can be sure that you have to most recent update.

The product works perfectly when installed through DIM (Daz Install Manager), Daz Connect or manually.

@3D Universe - I noticed you mention additional support in the future for other clothing. Any chance of doing a long sleeve or bodysuit? I'd love to use it for the kitbashing I do for my superhero renders :)

We are actively planning a long-sleeve shirt, cold-shoulder top, crop-top and superhero style full-body suit.
