What's the polygon count on these products compared to the LoRez characters series?

I'm wondering if these would work better for crowd scenes.

Using Window > Scenes > Scene Info in Daz Studio, I am seeing:

Victoria 3 / Michael 3: 74510

Victoria 3 RR / Michael 3 RR: 24406

For comparison:

Victoria 4: 66830

Default Genesis 8 Female: 65472

I don't have the Lorenzo Lorez figure, but from the product page, it comes in between 5000 to 5500 polys.

 

As for which would be best for crowd scenes, it suppose it depends on how big the crowd is, and how far away. From what I can see, the reduced resolution figures look better than the Lorez figures at a medium distance, and you have a wider choice of clothing, hair and poses from the generation 3 figures.  However, the Lorez figures are much fewer polygons and appear to have their own low poly outfits included.  I think that if I needed a big crowd scene, and I couldn't use any of the billboard products, I would likely go for the Lorenzo Lorez or other figures from that series.

My advice is to use which ever Genesis figure you are most comfortable with and have the most content for as your background figures. Just ensure they are switched to base resolution, and their textures ( and clothing textures) are reduced to say 1024x1024 using a tool like Scene Optimizer. Textures use far more resources than polygons, and the heavily optimized Genesis figures will be far more flexible than using dedicated low rez figures like Lorenzo, for which there is very little content.

Point taken - at SubD of 0 I get 16368 without the eyelashes, which would definitely be handy for background.  When I typed "Default Genesis 8 Female" I probably should have said "Genesis 8 female as it loads by default".
