It should be working - I certainly used it in 4.9.x.x
Was it working for you before? What changed before it stopped working, did you reinstall 4.9 or anything?
It always seems to install via DIM then ask me to register it when I start DS after DIM installs it.
i reinstalled 4.9
reinstalling plug ins
am i supposed to see it in the about plug ins list?
i see garibaldiplugin.dll in the plugins folder
I'm using DS 4.10 and it shows as "Garibaldi Hair System" in my 'About Plugins' list
is an exe installer.
is supposed to take the guess work out of installin?
does it have issues if the full lamh version is installed?
@Mystarra, I didn't see it installed either. So I reinstalled it via DIM but you have to restart for it to show up. Also after install, a window pops up where you enter the serial #
It's best if Studio is not running when you install any plugins.
oh i had ds running. but i did restart it after installing garibaldi.
If Studio is running, the installer might not be able to replace the needed resources, like .dll's. Even if you restart Studio after, the plugin might not have installed properly. Similar to when some (other) software installers tell you to close all open programs before proceeding to ensure that all required resources can be updated.
doh. defalt file path was short a sunfolder. manually moved the dlls solved.
entered the serial number. but doesnt show in the plugin lisy.
found bunch new samples at the garibaldi site. lion fur looks gorgeous
garibaldi is the one can export a hair as mesh?
i get confused between the lamh.
It's in the "About Installed Plugins" but there is no tab pane for it like others. You Create -> New Garibaldi Hair (attach it to something), then Edit -> Object -> Edit Garibaldi Hair and that gives you the working parts. You can export OBJ hair from both this and LaMH. For Garibaldi, click on the File menu, "Export OBJ File" is the only option.
