dForce - when to use or delete keyframes

Quick question for any Daz users here who have dForce clothing assets: do you HAVE to set a keyframe anywhere in your timeline before running a simulation? I'm still clueless about why keyframes are useful and when/how you're supposed to use them.

I was wondering if you have to set a keyframe at zero, 30 seconds, and 60 seconds when running a simulation in order for the clothing to fall/work properly.

Most of the dForce tutorials I've watched don't talk about them and the one that did talk about them didn't explain anything about them.

You can simulate from the memorised pose or use the playrange. There's no requirement for intermediate keys unless you need to avoid two body parts (carrying clothing) apssing through each other, which would cause the simulation to fail.

it is possible to remove body parts from the simulation, if they aren't needed and cause an issue whilst passing through.
