    Be my guest, I'm happy for any extra support I can get for my girl here! I've made a point of adding link postings on my site directing my visitors to items others have made for her, and will continue to do so for anyone interested in creating extras for my girl or my other items... :)

    I'm looking at her because she'll require lots of little fiddly changes to get to the sort of look I tend to do, and I need the practice. I'll convert her for native DS while I'm at it wink. Might mean DAZ Uber Iray shaders, but that's just the risk one runs ;)

    She's actually native DS already (having been created in Hexagon and rigged and set-up using DAZ's Figure Set-up Tools. Her surfaces were also optimized for use in DS and I included a set of Mat Poses for use specifically with DAZ's Toon render style... I created her in "Legacy" Poser rigging formatting simply for cross-compatibility (since at the time both DS and Poser used the same library structure). On the other hand she doesn't use wieght mapping for the same reason... cross-compatibilty... and any extra work you do for her is welcomed!

     

    If you do start working with her, please feel free to add any WIP images you might make to this thread... :)

    This is just a WIP image, but the Mer-tail in this pic is another item I've been tinkering with for Kristin... It's still just a WIP at this point and I still have a fair bit of work to do before it'll be any where near ready...:)

    Thanks, I'm glad you like my works! I don't post here very often any more... and most of the old DAZ members I knew have moved on to other things or other sites like I mostly have... aside from occassionaly updating this thread that is!

    No worries... do what you can when you're able! :)

     

    I've done a bit more work on the new Mer-tail I've been making... I added gills that fit along her torso as part of the set (they're built-in as part of the whole tail piece)... and added some sea-shells to be worn as clothes of sorts...

    I'd made a dial-spun character for Hiro 3 with some custom texture sets to match the textures and look of my Anime Girl Kristin. I've fitted the Mer-Tail to Hiro 3 and matched it to the textures from my custom ones for Hiro so that he and my Anime Girl will fit as partners...

    I took a brief breather from the Mer-Tail to set up a set of Faerie items for Hiro 3 to match those for Kristin. For the most part I was able to simply convert the items I'd made for Kristin so that they fitted Hiro, but made a new hat for him... I'll be releasing the Faerie Set for Hiro as a freebie shortly! :)

    I missed a small issue with the Faerie Shoes I'd made for Hiro 3 (I forgot to remove the IK Chains when I exported the Cr2 for them, which causes a conforming issue in Poser). It's been fixed and the updated Files have replaced the faulty ones in the download. You'll need to redownload the files to get the fix. My apologies everyone!

    Mer-Folk for Kristin and Hiro Freebie set and Poses

    Features;

    Includes a set of Conforming and Pose-able Mer-Tails for Hiro and Kristin, Conforming Sea-Shells for both, and a Star-Fish smart-parented to Kristin. These new clothes can be combined with various other items of clothing for Kristin and Hiro to create your own unique Mer-Folk!

    Also Included are Hide Poses for Kristin and Hiro to hide their legs as prep for attaching the tails, and a variety of Action Poses for both figures, with Tail Poses to match!

    The textures for the Mer-Tails are matched to the default textures for Kristin and our Anime Boy Hiro set for Hiro 3 from the BunkHouse... You will need both of these items for this set to work!

    Find it in the Wardrobe section of the Barracks on my site at www.schells.ca !
