How to get sharp edges on straps

I am developing a belt set in ZBrush.

In ZBrush the edges looks crisp and flat.

In DS they look rounder.

Is there a way in DS to make them look crisper or do I need to do that in my modeling program?

In the Iray uber shader ot the standard shader of DS there are settings called "Smoothing" and "Angle". Usually at the very bottom of the list in the surface tab, if you select your surface. By default it's turned on and set to nearly 90°. By turning it off you will see every single polygon with a sharp corner. To get sharper corners just where you like them you can lower the "Angle" value until it fits.

There is also a smoothing modifier in DS that can be applied to the mesh and of course Subdivision, that can cause the mesh to look different than in your modeler. But they have to be applied to the mesh first in DS, so I think this is not the problem here. (see comment below)

    Kind regards, Eagle99

There's also an option in the transfer tool to apply the smoothing modifier

Looks like you just need to turn down the angle in the materials tab.
Keep in mind that each material on an object can have it's own "Angle" value entered.
