Odd texture problem [SOLVED]

I just purchased the Vista Dress for G2F, but there's something wrong with the textures (3DL) in DS 4.10. With all of them the lowerskirt texture is too bright, while the maintop texture is OK, both in preview mode and when rendering (both 3DL and Iray). I've tested on another PC with DS 4.9 and 4.11 installed, and here it looks OK. I haven't noticed it with any other dresses, but it could have been there anyway, I might just have thought it was supposed to look how it looked.
A few of months ago I noticed something else I'm sure that wasn't there before, it looks like it only affects Iray textures but I'm not sure, and not all textures (it may affect the top but not the bottom of a two part dress for example). When I set the opacity for the object to 0, instead of becoming invisible it's like it's being covered with a thin transparent film which reflects the light. It doesn't seem to be affected by changing any of the shaders settings. It's only visible in the viewport, not when rendering, so it hasn't really been a problem, just odd. The two phenomena may be related, but I don't know. Anyone who knows what can cause these phenomena? I've tried to uninstall/reinstall DS but that doesn't help, so I believe it must be something else that does it.

I just noticed that sometime 4.10 doesn't get the correct gamma value from the texture. I have to set it up manually. This happens to me most for hair when using iray. In the first pictures you're posting it may be wrong gamma values both for the diffuse and specular channels. Hope this helps.
p.s. While I have no idea what the "spots" in your last pictures could be .. You may try changing the texture quality options in the preferences.
Ah yes, that makes sense. I checked the diffuse gamma value for the top and it was 0, while it was 1 for the skirt. Setting gamma for the skirt to 0 also fixed it. Thanks very much!
you're welcome I'm glad it worked
