I am trying to delete the back of the head of a Genesis 8 model (which is animated!) because I want to see the scene background through the eyes but I can't seem to make this work.

Up untill now things I tried are editing the animation in C4D, which worked (see screenshot), but it doesnt import back into Daz3d as FBX. I also tried deleting polygons in Hexagon, but this way I can only export the Genesis model back as a prop.

I can ofcourse export it as an object, but I need the Genesis 8 rigging because I am using the Lipsync plugin.

I am craving for suggestions.

That sounds like something that would need to be done in compositing software.

The only idea that comes to mind with doing it all natively in daz, would be to use a textured geoshell, following an invisible G8 figure(you can go into properties and hide parts of geoshells).

geometry editor. use it to select the polys you want to be gone and then create a new material zone and turn the opacity down all the way. You may have to do the same with the back parts of the eyes, but very doable in DS.

Another possibility to create the simplest of opacity maps for the back of the head since you have the head textures as a guide.  Plug the map into the face map's cutoff opacity  and you have a window in the back of the head...
