Kinda off topic: Just out of curiosity I check the ticket prices of some flights for dates around Christmas time. Airlines raise their price. I wonder if the hotels raise their prices too. I don't blame them. I guess I'll need to start saving money if I want to travel around the federal holidays in the U.S.A.

ah.. I still need to start creating some holiday theme renders. Thanks for reminding me.

...unfortunately there are no direct flights from Portland OR to Milwaukee so everything involves a connection. Most of the itineraries I saw either involved one super early morning departure (before local transit begins running), connecting through O'Hare (yuk), out of the way routings, or being stuck on one of those "micro" commuter jets for 2 or more hours with an average RT fare between 750 - 900$. Then there's the baggage fees, 4 flights x 25 - 35 $ ea flight which can add another 100 - 140$ to that "cheap ticket" price.

So went to to Amatrak and found something much better.

All meals included, a bedroom, with no stress about late flights, missed connections, having to wedge my stiff arthritic frame into a coach seat (effectively having someone sit in my lap for several hours), not having to get to and from the airport, not having to stand for hours in a security line to be poked and prodded by some TSA flunkie, and/or having my luggage end up in Nairobi.

Yeah, I have to connect in Seattle on the outbound (as all the roomettes from Portland are sold out and they only have the full bedrooms), but that is nothing like dealing with O'Hare, Dallas (where it always seems my connecting flight is in one of the "other" terminals) or Atlanta.
And when all is said and done, it really doesn't cost much more.

do you have a favorite holiday candy or cookie?

...for cookies, I always liked the traditional ones in shapes of stars, trees, & such with the coloured sugar sprinkles on top. Mum had a whole bunch of different holiday cookie cutters.

...for candy it was the old fashioned stuff, especially barley candy and crystal rock candy.

Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for some time now, it's become Almond Roca or nothing.

My favourite holiday cookie is homemade - a small disc (you could hold it on two fingers) of shortbread, a bit of icing, another small disc of shortbread, and a drop of cherry jam ringed with icing. We call them "cherry drops".

...I'm dreaming of a Megabucks win before then (that's when my UC extension runs out).

...I know, more likely I'll probably be hit by a piano falling from the clear blue sky.

..wish I could build my own bundle and still get the toast.

Don't do much fantasy and the characters are OK (one of them is great if you are into doing Crow scenes) but I prefer just messing with morph sliders.

I'd rather swap out the characters for the G2M Morphs Bundle, the fantasy clothing for the Casual T-Shirt & Pants, and keep The Uniforms set (this is very nice), MMA shorts & Gloves, Micha/Basic Hair and the Newport outfit

I have no interest in the Gens. I don't do nude renders so have no need for them

i enjoy michael nudes. and ryan.

learned from watching 'game of thrones' there's a lot of movement when walking around, i haven't managed a decent animated M4 with relaxed monty.
