I love all the latest scifi releases, but my walet is still suffering from march madness... Oh well I think I will cave and get a few

    I love all the sale categories... but none of the new stuff.  C'est la vie... I wishlisted more things, again.  All March Mardness did was increase the size of my wishlist...

    yeah, I didn't spend that much during MM, which is good because I just purchased an RTX 2080 ti and an extra 16 ggb DDR. Looks like I'll have to make use of the products I have for awhile to justify the expense, LOL

    I recently got an RTX 2080 ti and it set me back a bit, but am enjoying it!  March Madness just meant more new things to test out on the new card, because, you gotta test, right?  ;o)

    i wish i could put a card in my Dell ..most wont even physically fit, other than 1050Ti ... but even then a new power supply needed.  why bother?
    so i spend all my money here, but if I had saved it, I could afford a new system. priorities.

    yeah, but if you can't render it, then it's kinda pointless to buy it IMO. My GF was in Vegas the past weekend and won 5K, so this is her late B-day gift to me. I guess she got tired of hearing me complain about rendering issues with big scenes, LOL.

    that was very cool of her to do  ... 
    I can render quite a bit actually with CPU only ... stonemason stuff and the newer items are dog slow ... overall. Portraits not too bad, especially bald people laugh

    March Madness has had a bittersweet effect for me, I have gotten some great deals and a lot of really cool toys to pull out and play with. That being said with any new toys coming out because of being spoiled from the March Madness sales I'm having to very selectively pick and choose or or put more things on my wishlist to get at a later date and hopefully with a better sale price. I'm a huge fan for the Sci-Fi stuff and this first run just after the March Madness is some awesome stuff, and there were a few things during the March Madness sale that were super awesome that I was not able to get. So while I've gotten all these really cool toys that I'm looking forward to playing with I'm gazing longingly over at the things that I'm having to add to my wishlist.

    I'm having a slightly different problem! While I managed to leap on a gift card final day of the sale (15% off for buying a new release and 10% for the "Genesis 8 bundle" purple banner multiplied to 23.5% off, which is pretty solid for a gift card discount), I'm now away from home and have to longingly look at items that I can't currently use!

    As someone using a (half height) 1050Ti, I can say that even as a mediocre card, it is hugely faster than my i7 4790 (which, while a few generations out of date, is still fairly respectable, as it was once top of the range), although the 4GB VRAM can be a bit of a limitation that can demand a lot of scene optimisation.

    Ack! Spoke too soon - my gift card just got swallowed by HowieFarkes and Deviney in the flash sale... :-D  Waving wistfully goodbye... at least it took a bunch of things off my wishlist...

    ...all this lovely new Sci-Fi stuff  but reeling from a one-two punch to the budget by both MM and the Department of Education (the latter, a long story) so funds are even tighter than usual. 

    Not even sure I can afford to renew my PC+ quarterly membership when it expires later this month.

    I just had a dream which involved me taking Daz to court because they did not put warning labels in their shop stating how addictive purchasing goods could be. Honest to God. But the dream felt like it lasted as long as the O.J. Simpson trial. I was completely knackered after it...and then, lo and behold, I wake up suddenly to.....Flash Sales!!!! Daz has now truly hard-wired itself into my consciousness. Will this Madness never end?!?!?!
