When I render Etta, I don't get the deep HD wrinkles.  I'm not sure what's wrong.

My render:

If you check on the parameters tab under the figure, under the "Mesh Resolution" section, is "Render SubD Level (minimum)" still set to 4?

Also, under either the shaping tab or the parameters tab under... actor, I believe, is the "Etta HD" dialed to 100%? You should be able to use the "Currently Used" option at the top of either the parameter or shaping tab to quickly see what is currently dialed in.

    Thanks, AlmightyQUEST .

The answer to your questions is Yes.  Render SubD Level (minimum) is 4, and Etta HD is at 100%.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled both Etta and Edie 8.

    Still no wrinkle details.

How did you render? Did you use the live preview?

Woa.  I would never have thought that the wrinkles would only show up in a full render rather than live preview.  I tested it and yep, the wrinkles are there.

    Go figure.

    Thanks xmasrose (aka tulipe) !

The reason is that you can separately set the SubD level for viewport/regular work vs. what appears in render. And the reason for THAT is to make it way easier to pose and move things around and see what's going on without your machine trying to keep up with a hugely subdivided mesh.

Thank you for the explanation. Makes sense of course.
