Do you know an affordable upgrade for a Graphics Card for Rendering and Animation, for an hp laptop?

I know this isn't Daz studio related but I know this is the place for this question, I hope. I currently have an "Intel Core i3 processor and I was wondering what a good, affordable, graphics cards upgrade would be recommended or what is out there. Also, what would a great graphics card for Animation?

    For the most part, graphics chip upgrades are not available for laptops. If the laptop has a dedicated graphics card, it will tend to be a combination of that graphics card being adapted specifically for that laptop, and/or the laptop itself being designed specifically to accomodate that card, or both. If upgrades are possible (which is unlikely), then you will find such options described on the HP site specifically for that model. It is very different for desktops which are often designed using standard form factors and can accomodate a wide range of aftermarket upgrades.

    What is your exact laptop model number.
    While it is true that most laptops do not have upgradable GPUs, some are (mainly pro grade machines)
    The above statement is "officialy" true about laptops with dedicated graphics cards.  If you have a machine with an MXM slot there will generaly be some upgradability past what the maufacturer officialy supported for that model.  The issue there is that most laptop GPUs that will be a legitimate upgrade are quite pricy.  This being said, in most cases you might as well just spend a little more money and get a new laptop.

    There are some eGPUs available, but they require Thunderbolt 3 outlet in the laptop - check the reviews. For example

    At some point, that i3 is going to be the bigger bottleneck.  Yes, GPU is important, but putting a 2070 or 2080 GPU in that box would be like mounting a V8 engine on a bicycle frame.  cheeky

    Most laptops don't come with upgradable GPUs, but there are SOME manufacturers coming around to common sense.  I just bought an Alienware 51m laptop and love it.  Eurocom has been doing it for years.  My Alienware was 'spensive, yes; but now I have a machine capable of doing the things I want to do, which removes many of the limitations I had with my old laptop.

    The most insane thing about this machine is that it requires two power bricks to run the RTX 2080 GPU to its fullest.  And yes, it can generate a lot of heat.  But it has massive fans and I still love it.  I'm so pleased that I'm actually thinking of getting the outboard GPU enclosure.  Yeah, crazy.

    If a laptop has a discrete card it's usually the case it's designed into the mother board and can't be replaced. If it has an intergrated GPU that your best solution wuld be to search for an i7 with 4 cores cheap on eBay. Note, you'll be lucky to find one cheap on eBay no matter the i7 generation. They are way overpriced. Cheapest I saw was for 3rd gen i7 at $50 that's 7 years ago now. It's clear those sellers are targeting organizations that waste money with those sort of prices.  The newer CPU/GPUs for sell on there, well you may as well buy a brand new laptop when you consider CPU/GPU ops per $1 spent at the prices they are asking; again at those prices they are targeting organizations that aren't spending the organizations' own money.
