Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!

Ever since she's come out, I've LOVED the look of Sydney. Finally, I spend money I shouldn't on the character to find that the morphs are SO limited. Chest size... adjust ONLY the ribcage. C'mon people.

Is your concern with the lack of morphs to change the shape, or feeling the Sydney body morph is not different enough from the default Genesis 8 Female shape?
For the number of morphs, characters don't usually come with more than the one body morph... in fact I think if you are seeing a chest size morph it comes from something other than Sydney. For a full range of adjustment morphs, I would start with https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs for the body and https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-head-morphs for the head.
If it's for the Sydney shape, not sure, I am seeing quite a bit of change in the hips, knees, and elbows especially in addition to the chest (I am sure there are adjustments all over, those are just the ones that stand out at first glance). If you liked the shape though, that is what you would expect. Are you not seeing the Sydney shape you expect? If it's not loading properly there could be an installation issue.
Ok... I've been using D|S since V2. So I sort of know my way around the program. I've never encountered a character that has such a limited number of adjustments in a Basic (including HD) mesh (see screenshot). It's insulting that I must spend additional funds to get basic functionality. In past iterations, HD, or add-on, packs gave morphs that extended a character. My issue, such as it is, is that EVERY D|S female is supplied with a DD or DDD breast size. In EVERY other character, "breast_small" or :"breast_gone" is a basic morph. I guess DAZ has broken down the functionality to optimize purchases. Well, we'll see.
Sydney 8 is a Genesis 8 Female - not a stand-alone character. All the "8" figures are Genesis 8, as such all you need is the Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs and the Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs to adjust any of the Genesis 8 Female figures. The Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs come with breast adjustment morphs. Most of the "8" figures don't come with their own individual adjustment morphs.
Thanks, but you speak to my point. I have to spend an additional 20 bucks to get BASIC functionality. Meh, I'm done
The morphs you seek are in https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs
Just like for Genesis 3 they were in https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-body-morphs and Genesis 2 they were in https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-body-morphs
The Head and Body morphs cover the entire generation of Genesis 8 Female characters - so it's a one time purchase, plus they quite often go on sale.
Oh, also SickleYield has some great freebie morphs for Genesis 8: https://sharecg.com/v/91888/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/SY-200-Morphs-for-Genesis-8-Head-and-Body
It has quite a few different breast adjustments, including a "Breasts Tiny" and a "Breasts Gone" morph that can make even very busty women a lot more "petite" up top. lol
I understand the frustration and wanting more flexibility, but it is one of the trade offs of offering the base figure (in this case Genesis 8 Female) for free. DAZ has been selling head and body morphs as separate products from the base since at least Victoria 3.
I guess not since none of the genesis 8 addon characters come with specific breasts morphs outside of that specific character. They all rely on the daz basic body morphs to add this funcionality.
Maybe it's these cocktails I'm consuming, but I'm not getting the point of this thread . I mean when I started using DAZ products it was around the time of V4 and Stephanie 4.. if you wanted to change the breast size, you had to have the body morphs, which are a separate purchase. It's the same situation now, so if you want the breasts changed, you are doing the same exact thing. At least we have more choice now to have one set of morphs work with more character shapes.. or we could export the character to programs like hexagon and make the change ourselves for free and bring it back into DS. There are many ways to get to the same point, and if you're willing to put in the work when you don't want to spend the money, you can end up at the same place.
simply put, the Genesis 'Figures' are actually character morphs, with tweaks where necessary. apart from a 'character specific' item you have ALWAYS needed the morph packs to make much of any changes you wanted to make to the 'Figure'
as someone has already said, morph pack expansions to the base figure have always been sold as separate items( at least from the the original gen 3 series on )
One thing there is no shortage of..
female chest morphs...there must be at least a dozen sold here.
LOL, if the DO Head Morphs would only come with as many morphs adjustments for the nose, the mouth, the teeth, the tongue, the cranium, the ears, the eyes, the forehead...each as what comes with the DO Female Body morphs for the nipples, the breasts, and some parts in that area there I'd never heard of before.
You think that is something, take a look at how many morphs there are in my fav breast morph package from Hellboy https://www.daz3d.com/breast-utilities-for-genesis-8-female-s
What I miss about the base morph packs is that you used to get all kinds of ethnic morphs with it - Native American, African, East Indian noses, etc. But I digress ;)

I love Sydney too she has become my favorite character but I don’t like her balloon looking breasts. I use these morphs by SY all the time to tone down her breasts. Best free morph package ever.
That is one thing i really don't miss.... I remember those silly face dials for "Bridget" and "Elizabeth" as if Irish and English people look radically different while a single dial would be for the "ethnic" character ignoring that Africa is larger than Europe and most of Asia combined and that a Bedoin looks lothing like a Twa.... The Native American dial was the funniest. I had a conversation with a friend about an American presidentil candidate who took a genetic test to prove her ancestry but the test consisted of mainly Central and South American samples. I explained the distance between Chicago to Rio is roughly London to Beijing... one wouldn't use genetic samples of someone from Bristol to ask genetic questions about someone from Shanghai.... Hurrah for more specific morphs.
Sickleyield's free morphs can make Sydney's huge boobs look great under clothing, but if she's not wearing clothing they'll still look lumpy and weird I'm afraid.
And sorry nemesis10...didn't mean to strike a nerve.
Laurie
Oh, no nerve... I am just celebrating that we can have more specifity these days!
Hellboy makes some good products but since I tend towards toony I completely missed that one.
As far as ethnicity morphs DAZ has never done much besides the three generic racial groups. The Polynesian couple they did were probably were the most easily recognizable ethnicity of any they did but it's not like with formerly over 7000 languages that once existed on earth DAZ is going to satisfy a cultural anthropologist's desire to have ethnic representations for all of them, especially when looks can be quite different within a family. I can make a very good guess as to what country in Europe for few certain 'types of looks of people' and be right from the time I lived there but not a lot. People that live there their whole lives are much better at it.
