Why are so many materials in Smart Content only 3Delight when characters also have IRay?

I have a lot of G3 figures that have both 3Delight and Iray materials, but the only materials that show up in the Smart Content tab are the 3Delight ones. Is this just bad product creation, or is there a setting somewhere to give preference to one or the other?

you can go by generation, everything up to genesis 2 was made for 3delight and Iray materials were made only later ( they once came as pre christmas freebies, so I don't even know If they are freely available by now or if you need to buy that. Frome genesis 3 onwards the primary material is Iray, so you need to open the iray directory to go to the correct materials

Both sets should show in Smart Content - but there is usually an Iray sub-category within the Materials category for each product, so you may miss them in amongst the other folders.

"IG Iray essentials" former Xmas freebies seem to be available from InaneGlory's deviant art page now.

OK, I see now - this is backward to my way of thinking, and to the way the products exist in the Content Library - what may be Materials>Ivan 7>3Delight and Iray subfolders shows up as Materials>Iray>Masculine>Ivan 7 .

Yes, I'm not sure why they did it that way - especially as Iray is the default (though it does show that there is an Iray material set, if you don't see an Iray folder it's 3Delight only).
