Dforce Tutorials?

I have recently been trying out the Dforce. I do not think I am doing it correctly because using the time line, it is taking me an hour or more to run the simulation, then to render even longer. How do you guys pump out renders so quickly spending nearly an entire day to do 1 render using the Dforce? Are there any simple tutorials out there with simple methods to the madness? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
