....just make sure there are no loose screws. That could be painful in the end.

But... some people like getting screwed in the end.

Think about it, there's hardly any of it on the Moon, and no one has died on the Moon, ever.

There's hardly any in Death Valley either, but look what they named the place.  (Had the DAZ marketing department been in charge of the naming it would have been Skimpwear Estates.)

You want to know the weirdest (and most hilarious) thing about DHMO???  The San Diego city council, in all of it's PC GLORY, came within a few minutes of passing a motion to BAN IT IN THE CITY!!!  One of their attorneys finally figured it out and managed to convince them to stop the vote before passing.

Believe it or not, I am not making this up!!!

    No, but you're reporting most of the facts wrong.  The city that almost banned DHMO wasn't San Diego, it was Aliso Viejo, a suburb of Orange CA, which, rather than being excessively liberal, was at that time (2004) one of the very few cities in California that had a significant majority of Republican voters (58.39% versus 40.73% democrat.)  Since then the story has become a bit of an internet perenial with new versions of the story and petitions surfacing every year or so.  Here's the original AP News article - http://www.nbcnews.com/id/4534017/ns/technology_and_science-science/t/local-officials-nearly-fall-ho-hoax/#.XKLJg9h7kvg ;

No, YOUR water is polluting MY hydrolic acid!

So....if we just drink beer, we will be ok....right?  I'm going with that.

Wait...doesn't beer contain deadly ethyl hydroxide?  Don't get me started.

My favorite was the time some years back when the local news reported that a tank truck containing "deadly GATX" had overturned on the Mississippi River bridge.  They were a bit embarrased when they found out that the tank truck actually contained inert plastic pellets, and that "GATX" strands for "General American Transportation Corporation".

No I'm sorry but the beer is also highly contaminated with DiHydrogen Monoide as well.

...but alcohol is supposed to neutralise it.  Crkey I'm not going to drink soda laced with HFCS or bottled water which is the biggest scam since "duck and cover".

  • There is a big problem with Dihydrogen monoxide.  It was in the shower I took last night.  It was found in the toilet this morning.  There are big problems with it.  Death happens if inhaled.  Even my fish are addicted to dihydrogen monoxide.  I think I am addicted to dihydrogen monoxide.

Okay I found this on the web

    The Invisible Killer

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

    Dihydrogen monoxide:

    • is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
    • contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
    • may cause severe burns.
    • contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
    • accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
    • may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
    • has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

    Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

    • as an industrial solvent and coolant.
    • in nuclear power plants.
    • in the production of styrofoam.
    • as a fire retardant.
    • in many forms of cruel animal research.
    • in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
    • as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.
Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

    The Horror Must Be Stopped!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

The stuff is extremely habit-forming. I find that when I've been active for short periods of time I break out in a sweat and find myself automatically reaching for a glass of the stuff. some days I may put down as many as 8 to 12 glasses!

Its also partly responsible for loose stools!

You should try a little carpenter’s glue and then hammer them tight... if they are still loose, try wood screws... remember to drill and countersink them before or the screw heads will stick out.

I thought loose stools was the other kind.  (Stools with loose morals, maybe?)

It's sad when you see those stools, you know the kind I mean with three legs? - they just hang around the back alleys broke and abused, waiting for some sucker to take them home and give them some attention and a rub down. And if these twisted little chair wannabes are lucky, they'll get their very own corner where they can sit and leer at the dinette set, waiting for a party and some unsuspecting guest to plant their backsides on them.

...need to keep those stools on a leash otherwise when they are loose, they tend overrun the place annoying the picnickers and ducks in the park lagoon.

Not to mention the pigeons.  There's nothing worse than a stooled pigeon.  Well, maybe a glass of beer with a drowned weasel in it is worse, though I understand there are those who actually like a stoat ale.

Dihydrogen monoxide is secretly added to most processed foods you buy in supermarkets. It acts as an anti-drying agent, but it has also been used as filler, because it's extremely cheap to produce. All foods made for infants contain this chemical. And don't think breastfeeding keeps them safe. Adult women are so contaminated, infants literally get dihydrogen monoxide in with their mother's milk. angry

While dihydrogen monoxide can be produced from the highly reactive basic constituents, it is much more cost effective to mine it or scrape it from the surface of the Earth where it gathers in low spots.

Even as I type, Hydroxic Acid rain is falling from the sky! Our streets are no longer safe! This must be STOPPED! angry

(plus, I'm gonna get wet when I go out, lol)
