16K HDRi not work - Solved

Everytime I try to use 16K HDRi in render settings, DS freezes up and shuts down.  Any idea why?  Thanks.

    Running out of memory? Or virtual disc space/memory perhaps?

    Figured out why 16K HDRi was not working.  Slow harddrive, moved HDRi from external usb to internal SSD drive.  Works now smiley

    I don't see how that would make a difference as I have all my library on an external 2.5 inch hard drive and use a 16K HDRI quite often with no problem. I'm glad you found a work around.

    I'm with Fishtales. I have a similar setup and haven't had issues with 16K HDRIs.

    Hi friends, external drive I was using is old !!!!!!!! believe it was called IDE, probably like 15 years old, I slapped in an enclousure, makes a lot of freaking noise, but amazing still works, unfortunately not for DS  smiley
