Create Aniblock adds a couple of frames at the end of the timeline

I've tried to save the aniblock multiple time and it keeps adding a couple frames at the end.

Also the transition between block has a stutter in it.

Please help.

Yeah, I always have to adjust the transitions as there's always a little jump or something. You can shorten the block itself by clicking on the block, and then dragging the arrow, or if you have keymate, bake the keyframes to the timeline of one aniblock, delete what you don't need, and then just copy and paste as many loops as you need in there.

when creating aniblocks  it should only make 1 extra keyframe at the end of the cycle. if it makes a extra on the first keyframe then you are not starting your animation by adding a keyframe in the "0" position first when you first made your animation, . its the nature of how animate2 plugin creates a motions block script so it can be added to the animate timeline which makes the aniblock you see.  You can delete the extra keyframe with the remove keyframe key at the top for the animate2 timeline or you can open up keymate and remove the z forward motion translations at the end cycle for creating seemless cycle motions. and then just resave the aniblock when your done  . I usually use that extra blank keyframe for stacking aniblocks motions.  but it can be a bit frustrating when trying to create a seemless animation cycle loop which case I would just delete the offending keyframe(s) manually

see screen shots below i hope that helps

  • Thank you both!  I'll give these a try.

Oh and I have keymate but after putting in the serial number it isn't listed on the plug ins menu.  :/

open daz studio scroll on top to "help" and click it & then scroll down the list to " About installed plugins" There it should be green & look like this in my screen shot. if you have put in the correct number if not it will be listed as red instead of green.

If you installed the keymate plugin properly it should be showing on the plugin list. in fact you can double click the keymate plugin in the list and add a seriel number there if it not been acitaved yet. , if you did not install the plugin correctly or in a different location then it will not show up. you can find your plugins folders if you installed 64 bit version of daz studio to the default locations   C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins  you should find keymate plugin there, if not you have not installed it properly

  • I installed it through the download manager.  It showed up until I put in the serial number.  Same with Daz Studio.

I would double check to make sure it was still in my plugins folder if not then i would reinstall it& try again making sure it installs to the default daz studio plugin folder . other wise i have no idea what to tell you thats the locations it needs to be in for it to be activated,. :)

  • I unstalled and reinstalled through download manager and it's showing up now!  Thank you that was a brilliant idea!  Now if I can just figure out what's causing the glitch between blocks.

  • I think it's that blank keyframe that the beginning that's messing everything up.  Is there a way to get around it?

Start your animations by adding a keyframe.at the "0" position this is your default starting point for loop animation. begin your animated pose at 0

remove keyframes with the delete key you don't want

  • Thank you.  I have the glitch figured now.  Now the second round of blocks changes the animation.  :/
