Look at my hair alternatives

I just can't get look at my hair to work properly, even after talking to the creator it just dosen't work for me for whatever reason.

Are there alternatives to it? I just want to give this cat real fur https://www.daz3d.com/millennium-cat

I've heard that there might be some other product like LAMH in the works, is this true?

It's hard to know what Daz has up it's sleeve because they keep everything so close to the vest ;).

There was Garibaldi Express, which was made available for free but I think it was then taken down again. You coudl also, I believe, use Blender and export the hair as OBJ (which you'd have to do anyway with LaMH or Garibaldi if you wanted to render in Iray)

If you've happen to have picked up Carrara while it's on sale, the hair room included in it does nice fur.

The pic is a pre made fur that used to be in the store, but sadly has been disappeared. It gives you some idea though of what can be done.

I wouldn't give up on LAMH,  when it works, it is great. Here is the cat I did awhile back using the mil cat preset at furrythings https://www.furrythings.com/presets/

Is it a shame that the mil cat still looks great when ya put hair on it? ;)

if you can do a nice Carrara fur preset it does using Philemo's mesh conversion plugin have the same advantage Zbrush fibermesh has over LAMH and Garibaldi in that it keeps vertex count regardless of length and styling.

So you can export a zero length one for the transfer utility as well as growth and drape morphs
