Lighting or 3DL question...

Can anyone assist?  I am seeing a white dot in my final render when using a Distand Light in a 3DL render.  Has anyone encountered this before and have a resolution?   There must be a setting I am missing.  Happens no matter where I move the light also, that does not help.  Thank you all!

Looks like a specular highlight to me. Try setting the distant light to diffuse only, does the dot go away? If it does, you will probably have to adjust the surface settings for the whatever thing it is that has the dot on it. If you're using the DS default shader, try lowering glossiness to get a more diffuse/larger highlight, or set specular strength to 0, or try another lighting model (plastic or metallic).
