Girl 8 in Cinema4D

Finally have a decent workflow going to export from DAZ and render in Cinema4D (Broadcast R20) on an iMac Pro.  I started out by doing OBJ exports, but that got insanely tedious and every texture had to be hand-tweaked.  And while eyelashes came out OK, hair never did.

I did try Collada export a couple of times, but Cinema4D couldn't import it.  It would just eat up large quantities of memory (18 GB+) so I just killed the process.

What does work well so far is FBX.  I did have to at least shut off the color channel on the Cornea (lest the eyes be completely white).  There is more to do with the eyes, but I don't have to modify any other textures, so a huge win there.

Ultimately I'm only after cartoon-style output.  The attached image is from the Physical renderer.  Just 7 seconds for a 2,000 x 3,000 image.   Next steps beyond the eye fixups is attempting to work with short animation sequences if possible.

If I ever move up to the full version of C4D, I should be able to then pose the figure as well.  Broadcast version does show the bones, and they look to be all set up correctly.
