Any rifle poses for M4?
in The Commons
I'm working on a project for my nephew who's leaving for Army basic training soon. I've got the M4 Army Combat Uniform and have been making my own props and accessories to customize it. Are there any military poses with figures using rifles out there that'll work with M4? Any way to use Courage Under Fire for M7? It says I have to use the Genesis 3 Male Army Uniform. https://www.daz3d.com/courage-under-fire-poses-for-michael-7

It is no longer in the store but check your product library to see if you own 'USMC Marine for Michael 4'. There are some rifle poses in it.
Or there are a few poses that might work in this set: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/hellriegel-submachine-gun/118043
yeah, there was an addon for the https://www.daz3d.com/m4-army-combat-uniform called ICE pack two that added lots of tactical gear with 30 poses, but it looks like it is no longer in the store.
Yep. I forgot about those.Altogether there were three packs; So also check your product library for 'ICE Pack'
There is M4 Combat that has many poses for The Firearm Pack. Unfortunately, Generation 4 poses have been hit by culls of artists who made a good chunk of them.
this one maybe https://www.daz3d.com/combat-specialist-poses-for-the-modern-warrior-pose-pack-2
When they say "requires XXX", does it mean it won't work without that product or will it just not be eactly what is displayed in the photos? I have weapons I've built up for this but I'm assuming the poses these sets have require the weapons from one of their packs?
Yes, the pose will be the same, but depending on the weapon and how it is parented to the hand it will not be the same as in the images. I usually take the default unposed figure and parent the weapon first to the one hand on the grip before loading the pose. That way is is easier to pose and adjust the weapon after the pose.
The poses will be exactly as shown for the respective figure. You will have to adapt them and the custom weapon's position and orientation to fit properly, but you will be 90% there to start. The M4 Combat poses are not hierarchical, the figure and the weapons are posed separately (the weapon to the hand, the hand itself to hold the weapon, then the figure).
If you do a search for Panko over at Renderosity you will find a number of weapons packs that also include poses for M3 & V4, some of the Vietnam packs have poses for M3 & V3.
Thaks all, I appreciate it!
