Re-Draw issue in Carrara 8.5?

edited December 1969 in Carrara Discussion

I just upgraded to 8.5 and when I click on any object in the Assemble room, the screen flashes white, like it is re-drawing. Anyone else having this issue? I am running the 64 bit version on iMac Intel running 10.8.5

Nope, but am a Windows 8.1 user. You might have a MAC related problem?

Could be an open GL thing or perhaps if your machine is optimized in anyway especially accelerated graphics card, it might be causing this flashing. Game GPU card optimizations are known for going quirky.

I'm also on the 64 bit version on iMac Intel running 10.8.5. I don't have this issue.

Yes, I see it. Not all the time, but then when it starts it is persistent...

After some testing of settings, files, I think I have figured out the problem and sort of a solution.

It appears to only do the white flash re-draw issue when I use a file that was created in a previous version of Carrara (prior to 8.5). If I create a new file in 8.5 or import an old file into a new file, everything works as it should.
