Explaining Nosie Degrain Filtering?

Could someone explain in more detail how the Filtering options 'Noise Degrain Filtering', 'Noise Degrain Radius', and 'Noise Degrain Blur Difference' affect a render and what raising their values does? The manual (at least the one I checked) doesn't have any information on what these do. Thanks in advance.

This relates to a Maya Iray plugin, but as it's an Iray feature rather than a Daz feature, it should hopefully give you enough detail to have a rough idea: https://www.irayplugins.com/maya-doc/degrain_filtering_attributes.htm
Mostly the same information:
https://www.migenius.com/doc/realityserver/4.3/resources/general/iray/manual/index.html#/concept/integrated_noise_reduction.html
Thanks for those links. They don't really explain a whole lot though, haha. I did two test renders, one without any Noise Degrain and one with pretty high settings and the only difference appeared to be a change in bloom intensity on some metals.
Ah well, least it's something else to try on the grainiest of renders. Thanks.
Sometimes, when you cook a nosie person, the results go a little grainy, and nobody likes grainy meat, right?
So what we do is we put it in some cheesecloth and run hot, but not boiling, water over it. Just one panful ought to be ok. Then we remove the meat of the nosie person and most of the grain stays behind in the cheesecloth, which we chefs refer to as Nosie Degrain Filtering.
Glad I could help. Peace out.
