Node instances in 4.6

Perhaps I'm being blind but I cannot find create node instances under Create in 4.6. Am I missing something or has this function been removed?

Would be very grateful for any help.

    What Layout are you using as some layouts hide some functions. I would look myself but I am in the mid of a final render and won't be finished for a few hours yet.

    Ah ok I'll check layout next time I'm in front of my fun machine rather than work...thanks at least it hasn't disappeared.

    I just checked and it should be there on all the layout presets so my advice is just to reset the layout.
