I made a Star thing (G8F clothes) (WIP)

Hello,

I've shared these in another thread, but I'm finished to the point where I would like to seek a proper way to help make this ready for the Daz store. Now, before anything, this character is a personal project -- I'm not looking to put this version of this project up on the Daz store, I just wanted to use it to practice clothing design, texturing, capturing a cartoon personality in a completely different cartoon medium, some compositing skills, and, the big one, mastering both Daz Studio and Blender. Anyway, to elaborate, I am enamored with this show and I wanted to make some clothes for G8F. Although it has been super fun, I am running into some major first time prop making issues, JCMs and random pokethrough, burnout and whatnot. I do want to see this to completion though, so I'm digesting Sickleyeilds videos on how to do that. There are just a milion little things to play with and make right -- and I'm not talking about vertices... kinda, and one change affects the other and all. I think I am 95% finished with the project.

 

I'm also looking to grab some second opinions from the community about this project, since I've been in my vaccuum too long. Some of the nightmares that I've had was with the hair (I think I spent a two months total time on it alone) both in texture and mesh, fitting everything together and eliminating pokethrough -- which I still need to smooth over dagnabbit, the hair, finding the right morphs for her - though I think I leaned too hard on Aiko 8, the hair, layered image editor (for the cheeks), and a few UV issues. Oh and the hair. The hair cards sucked. I did model, pose and and texture everything though, bar for G8F erself and her textures (I used Salem for Aiko 8), and I also consolidated her dresses and boots into the same prop through morphs, which I am very pleased with.

 

I started this project because plenty of Sailor Moon's exist, along with Power Rangers and Star Trek (oh man, the Star Trek!) and I just wanted to contribute my own mark on the fandom and Daz community. And hopefully become a PA while I'm at it.
